My father is a primary school teacher and he is very strict about studies. When I was a child, I used to live in his terror.
We are taught that education is an important tool to change society for the better. And education is the only way you can become the person who can make change happen. But in my village, education is not treated like this. Mostly people don’t understand the value of it.

The legacy of any culture is very closely embedded in its language – oral traditions are passed on, history is put on paper and the intricacies of life are documented best in the language of the time, and of the people. Hindi, in many ways, is that language.
