VidyaGyan Overview
VidyaGyan is a Leadership Academy for meritorious rural children. An initiative of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, it is a radical social experiment in nurturing leadership from amongst highly gifted rural poor children, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2009 with ViyaGyan, Bulandshahr, the academy currently has two schools with over 1900 students. VidyaGyan is not just any other school for the underprivileged but is a state-of-the-art residential leadership academy that addresses social imbalances and envisions nurturing and creating leaders who would be the inspiration and role models for their families, communities, and society at large. The first graduating batch of VidyGyan passed out in 2016 with 75% students scoring above 80% marks. The second batch passed out in 2017 with 26% students scoring 90%+ marks. The third batch passed out this year with 37% students scoring more than 90% marks.
