I never wanted to be an engineer

The pressure one feels from a loved one is incomparable to any other. You love that persona and therefore can’t let them down - this is what Gokulnath felt for a time. He had always wanted to be a writer and academic, however, he pushed himself into engineering and was thus miserable for 2.5 years, until he gathered the courage to leave and pursue what he truly loved - writing. At Shiv Nadar University he is doing what makes him happy and he is creating a platform that will help him reach his future goals. He wants to establish himself in the field of social anthropology as well as continue his writing. In the future he wants to work with government institutions that world with agrarian or developmental anthropology.
